Real Workshops for Magicians Who Take the Work Seriously
The Worker’s Studio Session isn’t a casual jam or social hangout. It’s a working session for performers who want to sharpen their material, book better gigs, and dig into the kind of stuff that rarely gets talked about. We start with a casual “happy hour” to catch up and talk shop, then we get to work.
Each session is built around a focused topic. Something real. Something useful. We explore it together, ask questions, share ideas, and put things into practice right there on the call. These aren’t lectures. They’re creative working sessions where you actually get things done.
Where It All Started
The Worker’s Studio Sessions grew out of the workshop segments from the Gig-Ready Worker’s Challenge, and they immediately stood out. These weren’t just Q&As. They were focused, working sessions. We talked through booking challenges, shared real-world ideas, and started laying the groundwork for what’s next.
This new version is designed to go even deeper. In the Studio Sessions, you’ll bring in routines, test ideas, get feedback on magic and marketing, and collaborate with other performers who take the craft and the business seriously.
It felt like the start of something important, so we built on it. Now these Studio Sessions are a standing workshop series with rotating topics, deeper dives, and a growing group of magicians who want to keep doing the work.
What Happens in a Session
We meet live every other Sunday night on Zoom. We try to keep each session around 90 minutes to two hours, but if we’re really rolling, we keep going. The structure is simple:
- We open with a relaxed check-in and talk about what’s been working (or not working) in the real world.
- Then we dig into the session topic.
- After that, it’s open time for Q&A, discussion, and workshopping routines.
- If you’ve got a question, a challenge, or a routine in progress, you’ll have time to bring it to the group and get real feedback.
Who It’s For
These sessions are for magicians who treat magic like a craft and a business. You don’t have to be full-time. Maybe you’re booking gigs here and there, building a side hustle, or just starting to take it seriously. What matters is that you care about what you do and you’re willing to show up and put in the work.
This isn’t about chasing fame or collecting props. It’s about building a strong act, booking real shows, and doing magic that actually works in the real world.
What’s Included
Every month, you’ll get:

- A focused theme each session, so you always know what to expect.
- Time to ask questions, workshop routines, and get direct feedback from the group.
- Access to the two most recent recordings, so you can review or catch up.
- And some fun on the side—guest speakers, special topic nights, and the occasional Game Show Night, just to keep it interesting.

The Details
The Worker’s Studio Sessions meet live every other Sunday night. Each session typically runs 90 minutes to two hours, but if we’re in the zone, we keep going. Every session includes a focused workshop, time for questions, and space to develop your material with input from a room full of magicians who treat this like a craft and a business.
Membership is $100 per month. That includes two live sessions each month, access to the two most recent session replays, and keep a personal copy of any session you attend.
To keep the sessions interactive and useful for everyone, enrollment is limited to 20 members at a time. If the Studio is full, you’ll be invited to join the waitlist and will be notified as soon as a spot opens up.
Your membership renews monthly. There’s no long-term commitment, and you’re welcome to cancel or rejoin at any time.
